Hey teacher!

Yes YOU!

I know who you are.

You’re a smart, savvy entrepreneur, who is bursting at the seams to share your knowledge and expertise with others.

You know you have something important to teach. You know there are people that would find your “expert knowledge” and “know how” is just what they need to take the next step and choose the right action in their lives. You’re ready to make an impact, and not just a small one. A tidal wave!

The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery –  Mark Van Doren

I’m Tracy Sherriff, a born educator, instructional designer, and engagement expert who supports entrepreneurs like you with tapping into your inner teacher to create online courses and other learning opportunities that engage, motivate, and empower your tribe in the right way, in less time, and with better results.

I’ve been in the online space for a while now and have become a PRO course consumer. I have courses I’ve completed, and those that I’ve purchased and never opened (GASP! I bet you can relate). I have paid premium fees and consumed an incredible amount of FREE content! I am addicted to learning.

Creating online courses as a business strategy is a way to get yourself in front of others and build a scalable business. Some are making an incredible, freedom filled living, creating and sharing their expertise all over the web! Others have tried, and unfortunately failed, putting hours of time and attention into a course or course idea that never gets launched. Many know what they want but never get started creating because they just don’t know where to begin putting their idea together.

You need to make sure you have an idea that solves a problem others need a solution to. You need to know your audience, and you must have a solid niched down course idea and course outline. You can’t underestimate the planning stage and many just want to rush through it!

Our first contact will always be a FREE 30 minute connection call. Here we will explore who you are and where you are in regards to teaching your tribe. You will tell me where you want to be and we will sketch out a rough draft plan on what you need to do next. This is a focused, value packed call.

These recommendations will be action oriented to move your vision of having an online course or learning and teaching strategy forward. There will be recommended resources provided as applicable. You will know exactly where to go for more information and what tools you can use to take the next step forward.

It’s not just about ideas. It’s about making ideas happen – Author Unknown

Tracy Sherriff is my “go to” mentor when it comes to mentoring course creators.

I enlisted Tracy when I needed to get a course out of my head and onto my laptop. Her professional teaching experience lends itself to making the process efficient. Moreover, she supported my intention to create a course that gives my students an experience that gets them results and support without all the extra fluff.

I recommend Tracy’s services and mentorship to course creators who feel overwhelmed by designing and implementing their courses.

Interview with Mike Kelly  MEMBERVAULT

Tracy was a guest speaker in our mastermind and after hearing how she worked, I KNEW I had to work with her. I was right. In that one session, I gained years worth of clarity about my biz, learned a new skill (mind-mapping) and gained momentum with getting my work out into the world in a bolder way.

I work with entrepreneurs that are ready to take action and turn their idea into a learning opportunity for others. Designing and developing a course is more work than most realize. I utilize the Backwards design model of instructional design with my clients, where we start with your course learning goals and work backward to decide what content and skills your learners need to be successful. I work with clients through any of the following six phases, but most often in stages one through three.

  1. Analyze (market research)
  2. Design (course topic, course goals, course outline)
  3. Develop (content, instructional strategies, assessment)
  4. Integrate (automation, course platforms, email marketing etc.)
  5. Implement (launch)
  6. Reflect (evaluate the success of your students/course)

Course creators can easily get stumped or lost in their thoughts.

  • Stop guessing and start taking action on the right things
  • Get your burning questions answered
  • Receive honest feedback that will get you moving forward with your idea
  • Save time by getting an expert opinion

It’s time to step up to the plate and get passionate about your work and commit to making eLearning courses that don’t bore people to tears. Instead inspire and motivate your students to learn a new skill, change a certain behaviour, or improve their performance – Cammy Bean

Mind mapping was amazing! I never heard about it until I met Tracy. I had always had an idea for a course but just wasn’t sure how I would actually make it come to life! I’m definitely an “ideas” person, but have always had trouble getting those ideas out of my head and into a course that not only taught people a subject, but actually made sense and flowed nicely. Tracy was able to show me the benefits of mind mapping and creating a course I know will be successful!

My mind mapping session with Tracy was invaluable. Having her assistance in beginning to organize the limitless possibilities my brain created and putting it down in a logical format gave me a clarity I needed to help focus my energies and attention. Her style matched easily with mine all the while keeping me on task and focused.
